SEIKO Prospex SRPK43 Features
A new edition within the Prospex ‘Black Series’ series collection, this ‘Night Vision’ Turtle Diver’s watch depicts underwater night diving views seen through a night scope.
On its grey dial are hands and indices coated with a high strength green ‘Lumibrite Pro’ for added visibility in poor light. The ‘Night Vision’ pieces are the first Seiko watches to feature coloured Lumibrite in green as it is the easiest colour to see in the dark, but also ‘Pro’ because of its higher intensity glow for brighter and longer. Surrounding the sapphire glass is a scratch-proof ceramic bezel and a day-date function at 3 o’clock, whilst in classic Prospex ‘Turtle’ style, its case shape softly curves around the wrist, like the shell of a turtle.
Powered by an in-house automatic 4R36 movement, accurate to +45 / -35 seconds per day, it has a 40-hour power reserve.
Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

History of Seiko
The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewerly shop called “K. Hattori” (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha, meaning roughly “House of Exquisite Workmanship”.
The first watches produced under the Seiko brand appeared in 1924. In 1969, Seiko introduced the Astron, the world’s first production quartz watch, it cost the same as a medium-sized car. Seiko later went on to introduce the first quartz chronograph.
