The new NB6066-51W model from the Series 8 mechanical watch collection offers a combination of functionality and practicality with a modern, sporty design. This new mechanical model from the 890 series is equipped with magnetic resistance and water resistance up to 20 BAR. The mechanical watch NB6066-51W offers a range of practical functions and is extremely comfortable to wear.
The case has a unique three-part construction with a stylish octagonal bezel for an eye-catching look. The case is both highly polished and brushed and features complex patterns and the clean, straight lines which is the signature of Series 8.
The edgy design of the bidirectional inner bezel gives the watch an even more sporty look. The dial of this limited edition is designed with cherry blossoms in a unique geometric pattern. The copper-pink color creates a stylish, refined look that reflects the visual identity of the Series 8 collection. The transparent case back opens up a view of the ticking heart of the watch. History of Citizen
The company was founded in 1930 by Japanese and Swiss investors. It took over Shokosha Watch Research Institute (founded in 1918) and some facilities of the assembly plant opened in Yokohama in 1912 by the Swiss watchmaker Rodolphe Schmid.
The brand Citizen was first registered in Switzerland by Schmid in 1918 for watches he sold in Japan. The development of this brand was supported in the 1920s by Count Gotō Shinpei with his hope that watches could become affordable to the general public. The growth of Citizen until World War II relied on technology transfer from Switzerland.
