Promaster Professional Marine Diver 300
The Citizen Promaster Marine Divers Ecozilla BJ8055-04E is the ideal choice for both divers and casual wear. The watch impresses not only with its “diver” design, but also with features such as the Eco-Drive, which provides power by light energy. This eliminates the need to replace the battery.
The Citizen BJ8055-04E watch has a case made of stainless steel with PVD treatment (IP method) and sticks to the hand thanks to the rubber strap. Inside the case is the in-house Citizen B873 movement, which features a light rechargeable battery with a power reserve of up to 6 months and also a low battery indicator function. A handy feature is then the date display at the 3 o’clock position. The clear dial of this model is protected by a mineral glass.
The water resistance of the Citizen Promaster Marine Divers BJ8055-04E is 300 m and is therefore suitable for use in water, including deep diving. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown. This model even meets the ISO 6425 diving standard, which can be clearly read from the “Divers” inscription on the dial. This means, for example, declared resistance to magnetic fields, testing at 125% of the claimed water resistance value, or the need for a unidirectional rotating diving lunette. Improved legibility in low light conditions is provided by luminescence applied to the indices and hands.

History of Citizen
The company was founded in 1930 by Japanese and Swiss investors. It took over Shokosha Watch Research Institute (founded in 1918) and some facilities of the assembly plant opened in Yokohama in 1912 by the Swiss watchmaker Rodolphe Schmid.
The brand Citizen was first registered in Switzerland by Schmid in 1918 for watches he sold in Japan. The development of this brand was supported in the 1920s by Count Gotō Shinpei with his hope that watches could become affordable to the general public. The growth of Citizen until World War II relied on technology transfer from Switzerland.
