CITIZEN Mechanical NB6030-59L Features
Citizen Series 8 GMT Automatic NB6030-59L is an ideal choice for everyday wear and, thanks to the second time zone display, also for travelling. The watch impresses not only with its great workmanship, but especially with features such as the in-house mechanical movement Citizen 9054 with automatic winding and GMT function.
The Citizen Series 8 GMT Automatic NB6030-59L has a case and bracelet made of stainless steel. Inside the case is the Citizen 9054 mechanical in-house movement with automatic winding, which was first used by Citizen in 2023. This movement operates at a modern frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour (4Hz) and has 24 stone fits. It also features a “Hacking” function, i.e. stopping the second hand when the watch is regulated, and the option of manual winding with the crown. Thanks to the increased resistance of the movement to magnetic fields, this model has a resistance to magnetic fields of a very respectable 16,000 A/m ( the resistance of a conventional watch is around 4,800 A/m) The movement also has a Parashock system (a Citizen invention), which increases the resistance of the movement to shocks and shocks. The movement’s operation can be observed through the transparent dial. Travelers will benefit from the GMT function – i.e. a second time zone indicator in the form of a fourth hand. In addition, it is a so-called True GMT, where the GMT hand moves with the time setting and the adjustment of the main hour hand then takes place in leaps of one hour, while the home time on the GMT hand remains unchanged. There is also a bi-directional rotating GMT lunette that allows the time to be read in an extra time zone. A handy feature is the date display, which is located at the traditional 3 o’clock position.
The clearly structured dial of this model is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is maximally scratch-resistant. The water resistance of the watch is 100 m and it can therefore handle contact with water, including swimming. Better legibility in low light conditions is ensured by the luminescence applied to the indices and hands.
Functional and practical, modern and sporty – the new Citizen Series 8 GMT is the perfect companion from daily wear to spirited travel and everything in-between. The reimagined Citizen Series 8 collection of mechanical watches features elevated designs and high-performance automatic movements with enhanced magnetic resistance to fit every occasion, and this new traveler GMT watch is an impressive addition. Featuring an hour hand which can be independently set, the four-piece case construction defines the design of the brushed and polished silver-tone stainless steel 41mm case that frames the look, with an integrated three-link stainless steel bracelet securing the watch to the wrist and adding a modern sportiness in its wear. A red and blue bi-directional bezel centers the textured blue dial with its two-tone 24-hour GMT scale, clicking precisely on each rotation, where a framed date display at the 3 o’clock position provides daily utility, while an orange-tipped hand assists in keeping track of multiple time zones. Water resistant up to 100 meters. Caliber 9054.

About CITIZEN Mechanical NB6030-59L
History of Citizen
The company was founded in 1930 by Japanese and Swiss investors. It took over Shokosha Watch Research Institute (founded in 1918) and some facilities of the assembly plant opened in Yokohama in 1912 by the Swiss watchmaker Rodolphe Schmid.
The brand Citizen was first registered in Switzerland by Schmid in 1918 for watches he sold in Japan. The development of this brand was supported in the 1920s by Count Gotō Shinpei with his hope that watches could become affordable to the general public. The growth of Citizen until World War II relied on technology transfer from Switzerland.
