CITIZEN Mechanical NJ0180-80A Features
The Citizen Zenshin Super Titanium Automatic Small Seconds NJ0180-80A men’s watch impresses at first glance with its barrel-shaped case and absolutely universal appearance. Its features make it an ideal companion, especially for casual, everyday wear.
The Citizen NJ0180-80A watch has a case including the bracelet made of Super Titanium™, which guarantees low weight, high strength and complete anti-allergy properties. Thanks to a special hardening method (in this case Duratect TIC), the surface of this titanium is more resistant to scratches than stainless steel. Inside the case we find the Citizen 8213-21A mechanical in-house movement with automatic winding, which can also be wound manually by the crown. This movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies per hour, features 21 jewels and an off-center seconds hand at the 4 o’clock to 5 o’clock position. Very practical is the date display function at the 3 o’clock position. The movement’s operation can be observed thanks to the transparent dial.
The simple and perfectly legible dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is maximally scratch-resistant. The water resistance of this watch is 100 m, so it can easily handle contact with water such as swimming.

About CITIZEN Mechanical NJ0180-80A
History of Citizen
The company was founded in 1930 by Japanese and Swiss investors. It took over Shokosha Watch Research Institute (founded in 1918) and some facilities of the assembly plant opened in Yokohama in 1912 by the Swiss watchmaker Rodolphe Schmid.
The brand Citizen was first registered in Switzerland by Schmid in 1918 for watches he sold in Japan. The development of this brand was supported in the 1920s by Count Gotō Shinpei with his hope that watches could become affordable to the general public. The growth of Citizen until World War II relied on technology transfer from Switzerland.
