Battery
The miniature battery that powers your watch should last the specified time detailed in the battery chart. However, because the battery is inserted at the factory, the actual life of the battery that is in a new watch may be less than the specified period.
When the battery runs out don’t worry, take the watch to our store, or you can visit the customer service center section in your city / country. Contact them by phone, fax or e-mail and they will be able to advise you.
When the battery runs out don’t just leave it in the watch – get it changed straight away, just in case it leaks and causes damage to your watch. Excessive use of functions such as light, alarm and chronograph will shorten the life of the battery.
One thing to remember – if your watch is water resistant check out the information on this site, then you need to make sure the case back gaskets are replaced correctly before you get the watch wet again. 10 BAR or 20 BAR watches should always be pressure and water resistance tested after changing the battery.
To check the battery life of your watch, look at the case back and read off the first 4 letters and numbers before the hyphen i.e. W140 ?0156, now find W140 (this code is called the calibre number) in the list below and you will find the information.

Instructions
To select a manual, use the pulldown menu here, manuals are identified by the watch calibre number.
The Calibre Number will tell you which instruction manual you need. You can find this on the back of your watch as shown below:
Care of Your Watch
Like all precision instrument, care must be taken to make sure your watch remains in good order. Make sure you know what you can do with your watch in terms of water resistance and change the battery as soon as it has run out.
If your watch is water resistant, make sure the case back gaskets are replaced correctly before you get the watch wet again. 10 BAR or 20 BAR watches should always be pressure and water resistance tested after changing the battery.
MAGNETISM
Your watch will not be affected by the normal magnetism generated by household appliances.
SHOCKS AND VIBRATIONS
Your watch may be worn for normal sports activities, but try not to drop it or hit it against hard surfaces.
TEMPERATURE
Your watch is pre-adjusted so that a constant accuracy can be assured within normal temperature ranges.
ALLERGY
Unfortunately some people suffer from allergic reactions to certain materials used in the manufacture of watches, straps and bracelets. While all the products used in ALBA watches are of a high standard, we recommend that if an allergic reaction occurs you stop wearing the watch and consult a doctor. To reduce the risk of allergic reaction it may be helpful to regularly clean the case and bracelet of your watch and not to wear it too tight on the wrist.
