SEIKO Presage SRPK61 Features
In 1964, Seiko released the ‘Crown Chronograph’ – a unique piece that managed to capture the essence of the 60s in its looks and marked the first chronograph in a watch for Seiko. The Presage Style 60s range is built on the design of this original timepiece, and in 2024, it will be the 60th anniversary of the iconic release that started it all. This modern limited edition timepiece accurately recreates the original and pays homage to its heritage.
This redux recreates the iconic bezel design and its delicate lugs within the same size and proportions. Whilst maintaining the original dial layout, colorway and finish, this timepiece also recreates the first bracelet, but this time with a hairline and mirror finish.
It has a 4R35 mechanical caliber which is accurate to +45 / -35 seconds per day and has a 40 hour power reserve.
This timepiece comes in a limited edition box, produced in the same colors and textures as the original box.
Seiko Presage: Timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping; minimalistic watch designs with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.

SEIKO Presage SRPK61 Special Features
Seiko Presage Style 60’s
Seiko Chronograph 60th Anniversary Limited Edition
The 1964 Crown Chronograph as the base of Style 60’s will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024.
Commemorating this landmark, the new Presage limited edition watch is faithful to the design of the 1964 Crown Chronograph.
The 1964 Crown Chronograph was Seiko’s and Japan’s first wristwatch equipped with a stop watch function. The watch had several new revolutionary functions and marked the beginning of Seiko’s chronograph wristwatch manufacturing.
The case reflects the design of the original model, while keeping the case diameter at 39.5 mm to create a design and size that is in tune with modern lifestyles.
Inheriting the design of the 1964 Crown Chronograph, the new creation expresses a vintage style through the use of a box-shaped glass. Five rows of links are used to keep the bracelet design close to that of the original. Their shortened length ensures an even more comfortable fit on the wrist.
The watch is offered in a specially designed box with a vintage look and feel of the time.
SEIKO Presage SRPK61 History
Presage. The product of a century and more of experience
In 1913, Seiko made its first mechanical watch. 1956, Seiko made its first automatic watch. 1958 Seiko created its shock resistant system, Diashock, to preserve precision when the movement is subject to impact. 1959, Seiko invented the Magic Lever spring winding mechanism, and in 1964, it started producing balance springs in-house, utilizing its own specially developed alloy, Spron. 1967, Seiko created Japan’s first hi-beat caliber. 1969, Seiko made the world’s first automatic chronograph with vertical clutch and column wheel systems and in 2014 Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking skills were rewarded with a prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève for its hi-beat caliber.
For over a century, Seiko has developed and refined its mechanical watchmaking skills. Today, all this experience comes together in a new, all-mechanical, collection named Presage. Presage has already been successful in Japan and selected other markets for some time. Now Presage goes global and takes center stage as Seiko’s leading mechanical watch collection.
Presage: A wide range of calibers, designs and tastes
Presage is a collection of broad appeal. It comprises 60 models and uses the full range of Seiko’s mechanical calibers, from the accessible 4R, through 6R to the exclusive 8R. Highlights include the 6R27 multi-hand power reserve model and a series using an entirely new version of the 4R57 caliber. This new caliber is Seiko’s first ever with a center power reserve indicator, and is available in a series of five designs, including a limited edition. Every Presage watch has 10 bar water resistance and a sapphire crystal.
Japan is a land with a long and unbroken cultural history and therefore values tradition very highly. Long-lasting beauty and long-lasting performance express the deep desires of Japanese culture and are therefore at the heart of Japanese craftsmanship. Both in design and manufacturing values, Presage belongs firmly in this tradition and offers the very highest levels of reliability and durability over time. Each Presage watch is built to last for generations.
