SEIKO Presage SRPL07 Features
In the Sixties, style was characterized by an essence of elegance, paired with a robust, wearable flair. These ‘Elegant Yet Rugged’ Style 60s timepieces capture the retro aesthetic in dial colors based on the 1960s Japanese technical workwear. Muted in color with robust fabrics designed to last, these outfits were worn by specialists, engineers and factory workers alike – from mechanics to production experts.
Enclosed in compact case, the navy-colored dial is a base for 60s-style indices, each with sharp multi-faceted surfaces for added light reflection. The bezels and lugs are mirror-finished for contrasting elegance. The bezel is engraved with arabic numerals for legibility. It has a multi-row five-link bracelet, with hairline and mirror finishing, to enhance the interplay with the light, and sparkle.
This timepiece features the in-house built 4R35 automatic movement which is accurate to +45 / -35 seconds per day, whilst maintaining a 40-hour power reserve.
Seiko Presage: Timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping. Minimalistic watch designs with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
Presage Style 60s. Celebrating the fresh spirit of the 1960s, this design is an homage to Seiko’s 1964 “Crown Chronograph,” combining a bold ruggedness with a refined and tailored style. Framed by a metallic bezel with laser engraved details, the sunray finish dial inherits the layout of the original model with a blue color inspired by vintage work jackets. The faceted indices are polished for an elegant shine, enhanced by the stainless steel case and box shaped crystal, providing beautiful dimensionality. Visible underneath the screw down see-through case back, the 23-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers manual winding capability with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Crafted of stainless steel, this versatile timepiece features a sophisticated multi-row bracelet, tri-fold push button release clasp, a date calendar and LumiBrite hands and markers for superior visibility. 5 bar, 50M Water Resistant.

SEIKO Presage SRPL07 Special Features
CONCEPT
Seiko Presage welcomes a new series that captures the vintage feel of a Seiko milestone watch combined with the traditional watchmaking skills for which the Presage collection is renowned.
The new Seiko Presage “Style60’s” series design takes its inspiration from the Crown Chronograph introduced in 1964. With contemporary earth tone colors, the watches combine the vintage design of the 1964 creation with contemporary elements to create a series with a retro feel perfect for modern times.
The Crown Chronograph was Seiko’s and Japan’s first wristwatch equipped with a stopwatch function.
The watch had several new revolutionary functions
and marked the beginning of Seiko’s chronograph wristwatch manufacturing.
Style
The new series incorporates the Crown Chronograph’s characteristic box-shaped glass, faceted indexes, and sharp hand designs. The inner circular area of the dial and the outer area with indexes are applied different finishing techniques, creating enhanced legibility, and a warm vintage feel with varying expressions depending on the angle of view.
Case design
The gently rounded case is slightly slanted inward to ensure comfort on the wrist.
The lugs are carefully polished to a mirror finish giving the watches a sharpness to their overall calm and gentle appearance, creating the perfect balance of modern and vintage.
While the original Crown Chronograph did not incorporate a date window, the series offers new creations with a calendar function.
SEIKO Presage SRPL07 History
Presage. The product of a century and more of experience
In 1913, Seiko made its first mechanical watch. 1956, Seiko made its first automatic watch. 1958 Seiko created its shock resistant system, Diashock, to preserve precision when the movement is subject to impact. 1959, Seiko invented the Magic Lever spring winding mechanism, and in 1964, it started producing balance springs in-house, utilizing its own specially developed alloy, Spron. 1967, Seiko created Japan’s first hi-beat caliber. 1969, Seiko made the world’s first automatic chronograph with vertical clutch and column wheel systems and in 2014 Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking skills were rewarded with a prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève for its hi-beat caliber.
For over a century, Seiko has developed and refined its mechanical watchmaking skills. Today, all this experience comes together in a new, all-mechanical, collection named Presage. Presage has already been successful in Japan and selected other markets for some time. Now Presage goes global and takes center stage as Seiko’s leading mechanical watch collection.
Presage: A wide range of calibers, designs and tastes
Presage is a collection of broad appeal. It comprises 60 models and uses the full range of Seiko’s mechanical calibers, from the accessible 4R, through 6R to the exclusive 8R. Highlights include the 6R27 multi-hand power reserve model and a series using an entirely new version of the 4R57 caliber. This new caliber is Seiko’s first ever with a center power reserve indicator, and is available in a series of five designs, including a limited edition. Every Presage watch has 10 bar water resistance and a sapphire crystal.
